Dr. Kay Dodson obtained her BS degrees from Pfeiffer University in Chemistry & Biology, and completed her veterinary training at North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She has worked at many daytime familyveterinary practices both as an associate and as a relief veterinarian since graduation. She has worked for emergency and spay neuter clinics during this time as well. Dr Dodsonenjoys the fast pace and complexity of cases that the emergency room has to offer. But mostly, she enjoys sending animals home healthy and happy. This broad continuum of experience is what makes her an exceptional and compassionate veterinarian.
Dr. Dodson has a son, Wesley, and a grandson Kently. In her spare time, Dr Dodson enjoys spending time with her grandson, perennial gardening, cooking and shopping. Her variety of pets include Koi fish, 4 dogs: Jasmine, Jack (herding breeds), Pheona & Alopecia (Chinese Crested) and 2 cats: Clyde & Casserole.
