Dr. Cara Kluttz was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. She attended Smith College, then graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She practiced large animal medicine and surgery for three years before entering small animal surgery and general practice. Over the subsequent years, she has developed a strong interest in internal medicine, and strives to learn something new every day. She finally found her niche when she discovered emergency medicine by joining Cabarrus Emergency Veterinary Clinic in 2013.
Dr. Kluttz lives in Salisbury with her husband and two sons. Her family includes three dogs, six cats, one horse, and an assortment of chickens. During her off time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and gardening.
